10th Summer School 2026

The 10th SOLAS Summer School took place from 9 to 27 March 2026 at the Centre for Research and Conservation of Marine Biodiversity of the Northeast (CEPENE/ICMBio) in Tamandaré, Pernambuco, Brazil. The School brought together 46 attendees, ranging from master's students to junior postdocs, most of whom were early-stage PhD candidates.

The 10th SOLAS Summer School was held from 9-27 March 2026, in Tamandaré, Brazil. In total 46 international students from 22 countries were instructed by 24 experts on SOLAS science for three weeks. The school comprised several sessions: (1) SOLAS Sciences; (2) Data Sciences; (3) Community Sharing and Career Panels; (4) SOLAS for Society and Policy and (5) Collaborative student-led group projects. The program balanced lectures given by internationally recognised experts with hands-on practical and data workshops, as well as debates and panels.
