Issue 31: BEPSII Sea-Ice School 2022

Issue 31 reports on the BEPSII Sea-Ice School 2022, which took place from 14-23 May 2022, Cambridge Bay, Canada.

The inaugural BEPSII Sea-Ice School provided comprehensive teaching on sea-ice biogeochemistry theory, lab work, and fieldwork to students. Twenty-nine participants from Canada, the United States, South Africa, Japan, Finland, Germany and the United Kingdom, just to mention a few of the represented countries, gathered at the Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS) for a full immersion into sea ice. CHARS served as the headquarters of the school, providing accommodation for students and lecturers alike, as well as spaces for frontal lectures and presentations, poster sessions, and lab work.
